JTI Gallaher is one of the largest tobacco suppliers worldwide, as part of a re-branding exercise, Ibex were successfully appointed to modernise and upgrade the existing headquarter building in Weybridge, Surrey.

The existing office space is spread across four upper floors and lower ground executive meeting space with a total floor space of circa 68,000sqft. With space limitations the project was carried out in three separate phases whilst the 300No resident staff are relocated both within the building itself and in external porta-cabins for the twenty-six week duration of the project.

The works included the refurbishment and fit-out of the existing office, core, toilet, restaurant and dining facilities. The reception and executive meeting rooms were re-modelled and fitted out to a high standard. Other works included the central atrium and external works with the creation of a large  “Chinese” feature terrace and re roofing.

Working in the occupied offices meant ongoing liaison was a key feature of the Ibex approach and project methodology. High levels of communication and client liaison were paramount to the project success. Ibex provided a senior team to reflect the level of client interaction on this logistically challenging project.
