| This project scope included the fit-out of Cat A office space to the 2nd & 3rd floors, upgrade to the reception, front entrance doors and lift cars of an occupied five storey office block just off Piccadilly in London. The office floors were stripped back to base build which included the removal of the screed and the existing WC block including all services. Following the strip out a new WC block was constructed to incorporate disabled facilities, a new VRF system was installed, ceiling mounted on one floor and floor mounted on the other, together with new plant on roof. This installation necessitated a road closure to ensure the programme goals were maintained. The finishing’s for the fit-out included new metal tiled ceilings, plasterboard bulkheads, secondary glazing raised floor and decorations. In the reception area, the existing draft lobby and entrance doors were removed and replaced with a pair of frameless glass doors. The area was then re-decorated and a new desk was installed together with floor coverings and tenant signboard. Throughout this process Ibex worked with the design team to resolve issues raised during the tender period on the mechanical installation to ensure the floor to ceiling height was maximised. |
