Ibex Interiors carried out the refurbishment of the Kimberlin Library during the winter of 2006/7 under a phased programme of work involving a formal sectional completion arrangement. The challenges the project presented to the Ibex site team was to maintain a 24/7 operation to the Library for student use and also to work under strict University controls of access for materials and operatives, both to occupied office areas and the more public areas of the library itself.
The project was completed on time to coincide with the 2007 National Student Survey, which was a major objective for the Client, so to improve the Universities status in the national league of performance. This objective was made fully aware to Ibex upon commencement of the works and it featured in their project strategy for enhanced delivery of the works to the Client.
