Within the space was an opencast newsroom, which provides the anchor point for CBS's European Broadcast facilities with the central equipment room providing the transmission medium for linked world broadcast and European digital and satellite transmissions. Works carried out in an occupied building with a tenant who operates continuously, this therefore required close liaison with the client and  estate management.
