Ibex were awarded the contract to refurbish GSK, Greenford into 3 buildings prior to the relocation of staff. The project ran for 11 months with 11 phased handovers to minimise disruption to existing staff on site. A major feature of the project was the amount of material that was to be recycled. Most of the existing partitions and glass in building 60 and 38 were re-used, as well as the ceilings being retained. A small tea point area and carpeting are the only new items. The waste from the site was sent to a Segregation Depot nearby, where 83% of the materials were recycled. This was monitored by a monthly certificate issued to Ibex. Overall the project has reused or recycled nearly 90% of materials.
