This  included the refurbishment over two floors to form a vegetarian restaurant for client Tibits a Swiss based client, in a busy cul-de-sac just off Regent Street. This was the second project we completed for this client.

A six week enabling works package was undertaken prior to the fit-out which involved converting two existing retail units into one unit on the basement and ground floor of a occupied five storey office block. This comprised renewing all underground drainage, substantial demolitions and underpinning followed by the installation of structural steelwork to act as both temporary and permanent support for the party wall that was removed between the two units.

The fit-out of the restaurant went over a very tight 11 weeks construction programme period. This included for the Mechanical installation a new AHU fitted on roof of the office block, which required a road closure and overnight crane lift. Following these works, extract systems were installed together with kitchen hoods and all associated ductwork, which were left fully exposed (sprayed black).

In the basement, new toilet blocks and a kitchen was formed, acoustic panels were fitted to the ground floor soffit and works the installation of a passenger lift and dumb waiter. This included the formation of new lift shaft in the rear courtyard and the installation of new automatic doors. As part of this a new feature steel staircase with glass balustrade and a new glazed roof/sky light were included in our scope of works.
